Happy 3 Benjamin!

Yesterday we got to celebrate this cute little boy turning three!  Little did I know a year ago when I meet this little guy, that I would have the great opportunity of watching he as his mom ventured back to work!  We are so blessed to have Benjamin in our life!

Elmo Show!

Sarie's dreams came true on Monday!  It is military appreciation month, and the sesame street tour came to Alaska on base.  Our friends took us to the show and boy was Sis so excited.  The show was all about thanking military families for the sacrifices that they make for all of us and our country!  It was so awesome they spoke to the kids about moving, making new friends, and how friends are friends forever even if separated by distance.  Gosh I really got emotional, thinking about how we are going to say goodbye to our best est friends up here in Alaska!  It is only the first of so many goodbyes.  I daily have to hold on to God's promise, that he brought us to Alaska for  so many reasons and these experiences are going to make me stronger!

Boys & Dirt!

Boys are just so cute when they are covered in dirt!  These three are living proof of that.  What a great time we had camping with super great friends over memorial day weekend!  Our first time camping in the great outdoors of Alaska!

Farewell to our Breakaway Seniors!

Almost a year ago to the day we embarked on our new journey to Alaska!  Crazy it has been a year in Alaska, a year at ACF ( our new home church), a year of growing and stretching, & a year of making many new wonderful friends!   Today we celebrated  our wonderful seniors that we have had the privilege of getting to know this past year.  Bitter sweet, so excited for this new journey they are about to begin, but so sad to be saying goodbye.   This past year we opened our home on Tuesday nights to the breakaway leadership team.  I loved it mostly, because it gave me a chance to get to know the kids.  Sometimes I feel I am so  un useful on Sunday nights, I feel I do more chasing around of my children than socializing with the teens.   I know these teenagers will never know the tremendous impact they have made on my children!  Cyrus will never forget the countless Nerf and sword wars Austin had with him, and our house will feel so void without Kyra's glorious laugh!   Thank you Breakaway seniors for the impact you have had on my family, Eagle River, your schools and so much more!

The Phillip's family of Two, soon to be FOUR!

So I had the awesome opportunity of throwing a awesome girlfriend a adoption shower!  Marianke and her husband Jon are going to be bringing their two kiddos home the end of this month!!!!  I am so thrilled for them, they are going to be the best parents ever to Jake and Kayla!  We had the opportunity to shower them with blessings and celebrate with them as they await the arrival of their kids!
